Very good example of contemporary jazz fusion influenced softly by brazilian pop music. It's difficult to figure out that the head banger bass player Joel Moncorvo, member of extreme metal bands Ungodly and Slow could ever play such beautiful, melodic and groovy sounds like in this whole album. The melodies are absolutely beautiful. His musical expression flows smoothly through his accurate techniques even while playing a fretless bass guitar, like in “Groove no Parque”, “Alinhamento Cósmico” and at the beautiful “Dança das Almas”. In the year 2005, Joel Moncorvo has won the price of Best Brazilian Bass Player of The Year. This album shows us why... This is not just a media product, it's a masterpiece of a man who breaths music and writes his own history "in F clef" filled by soul and feeling. It's very interesting that the booklet has an explanation about each song, about the ideas and the situations that have inspired each track. As far as I know, it's available only in Portuguese. “Alinhamento Cósmico”, “Sonata para Isabela” and “Encontro Prometido” are songs that I could only describe as magic. This album is a massage inside the ears. It's high quality music above all. It's just impossible do not like it, unless someone who doesn't like music. |
